ADHD ACCOUNTABILITY GROUP
ADHD brains work differently compared to the 'average' person. Starting a task, staying engaged with the task, or completing the task are all things which can be a real challenge for someone with ADHD. Our internal motivation, or intrinsic motivation, can be unreliable. This leads to us struggling to do the things we want to do.
When we have extrinsic motivation, factors from outside of ourselves can help us to succeed in completing tasks. An example might be tidying your house because you know you have visitors coming round. We have set up a free ADHD accountability group on WhatsApp to help tap into this external motivation.
In the group, members can check in with what they’re working on, share small goals, or update others on their progress. We help each other to reach our goals, clear our task lists, and reduce the mountain of jobs that taunts us every day. You don't have to use the group every day. You can pop in and out as it suits you. We just ask that you help support others by motivating them to complete their tasks as well.
